Re: "Orders" Missing from Admin Panel Broadleaf 5.0.0 GA

The suggestion above to add Orders back to the admin is a good one. I thought it would be helpful to let the forum know that Broadleaf removed this menu option intentionally from 5.0. Having the menu option implies that there is OMS functionality. Enabling the orders module will provide you with bas...

Re: Content Item created is not Visible

A lot of things could be going on here. 1. Ensure that the new item has a start-date before now. 2. If you have more than 1 content item (Structured Content Item) that is active, the system will choose the one with the lowest priority. 3. Re: How to create new admin role and permission

Assuming you've extended the domain to include the owning user, you'll need to create a custom persistence handler to intercept the fetch from the database to add your query restriction. Enterprise Broadleaf provides support for role level security which provides a bit more out of box support for wh...

Re: Current category recognition in Product controller

You might find it easier to include the URL parameter but create a custom Thymeleaf processor to build your bookmark taking into account that parameter if it exists. The answer depends on what type of change you are trying to make? Can you provide more details of what you want to do?

Block Pricing - Can be achieved in a number of ways. - Use Product Bundles to group a set of products together - Create a product option that is quantit...

Re: About The Licenses

There is absolutely no issue using the community edition of Broadleaf in production. Think of it like you would the Spring Framework. Broadleaf Commerce Community is Apache 2 licensed (same as Spring). We do believe for medium to large companies our enterprise edition offers some compelling features...

Please open a new issue in GitHub and reference it from this post. In your GitHub ticket please include the details of your setup (like you did here) as well as the outcome you are expecting which isn't clear to me from this post.

Thanks,
- Brian

Re: Can Broadleaf be used with tomcat 8?

As of the time of this post (Jan, 2014), the core development team primarily uses Tomcat 7 so if there are issues introduced by Tomcat 8 you are likely to see them before we do. That being said, we don't know of any issues and would consider Tomcat 8 issues a high priority to address if they were re...
