Now, how do i start this process?

I would start with familiarizing yourself with the Broadleaf domain and see how your existing domain fits into what we have in Broadleaf. Good starting points are the entity diagrams for Product and Sku. If there are properties that you need in your implementation that we don't already have on our domain, you can add these properties easily in your subclass. Check out the docs we have on this process.
