Hello, can someone give me a short description about the module offer?

I know that when I add an offer for an item in the cart, a record is added to BLC_ORDER_ITEM_DTL_ADJ table. What is the difference between OrderItemPriceDetailAdjustment, OrderItemAdjustment and CandidateItemOffer classes. All these classes are related (ManyToOne) to an offer.
