Hi all,

I was just wondering what the status is regarding general development.
I noticed that the next milestone is overdue and there are some issues open.

There is also not much activity in the code repository.

Is development being paused, lack of time, currently on hold?
I want to contribute to the project any way I can, but first I need to understand the code a bit better by building myself a POC (see other topic:) )

The momentum of feature development has dropped during the holidays.

We've made some small enhancements lately and we are would like to implement some additional projects in the near future. We have tasked ourselves with meeting soon and re-evaluating the roadmap, deciding the next improvements and setting a release schedule. We hope to have this meeting within the next month or so.

Nice, I saw that a lot of activity is happening in the source control.
I'm very pleased to see this activity and know that work continues!

P.S. Can you give a heads up on the Content Management module made by elbertbautista ? What is it intended to do exactly?

The Content Management effort will result in features in both the framework and in admin. It is intended to allow for HTML content to be edited and deployed by content editors to production without the intervention of developers. There is a simple workflow for an approval process as well as preview capabilities. Although it is not fully developed yet, there will be the ability to implement MVEL rules to target specific customers based on rules, such as if they have certain items in their shopping cart.

The framework code includes a new tag to display targeted content retrieved from the database. The admin code provides an interface to edit, update and approve the content.

This is nice to see the project is still evolving. I hope a new stable release will arrive soon.

Hi Dev Team,

Can you post an updated status of your current development, maybe be a new roadmap showing when the next release(s) will be available. It's been a long time since the 1.0.0.GA came out and no new intermediate (and yet stable) versions appeared since this first release, which is intriguing (at least for me).

I may have missed some docs about what's coming up with 1.1 branch (i've just seen it available as a milestone 2), if you have any links.

Thank you.

The current release, available at, is 1.1.0 M2. Other version between 1.0.0 GA and 1.1.0M2 are also available there. We are currently working toward version 1.1 and plan on releasing it after we finalize our USPS module.

EDIT: I had listed working toward 1.2 but we are currently working toward a 1.1 release.

is there some kind of changelog present, or can I check which bugs have been resolved?
Trac used to be up to date, but I don't think it is anymore, is it?

The reason I ask is that I'm creating a webshop with the 1.0.0. release. Upgrading, and merging, to the new version will be a lot off work, so I want to know
a) if it is worth it
b) what new/fixed items are included.

We don't have a well documented changelog at this point. I've taken the release notes provided in the distributions and created a wiki page out of them at We use the Sourceforge SVN repository for all our updates so all changes can be found in the history of the project there.
