Hello all,
That's the first time I post on the forum, but I would like to say that Broadleaf Commerce is very powerful ! Thanks a lot about it, it rocks!
I have a question about the search feature. I have a Broadleaf Instance (3.0), with an extended product model.
I have to index specific search fields, and it works well. But I met a problem while using the search service, because the whole query typed by the user is generated against each Solr fields indexed ...
While digging inside the documentation, I saw that, theorically, index fields (marked as searchable), should be copied inside a "searchable" Solr Field.
But in the SolrIndexService, i saw that each defined field are added, but I can't find any trace of the "searchable" field addition.
And, on the search part, by defaut, the query is generated against each field (using the default OR operator of solr, so that more you add query term, more you get results...)
I work on the BLC 3.0 version. I just had a quick look on the last version code and I didn't find any trace of the "searchable" field ...
Temporarily, I've done a litte patch to use the search field on the both part of the search engine (index, and search), and it works
Could you please let me know if I miss something ?
Best regards,
Fabien
