Adding Media Products - MP3s and Videos

Ability to have a product that is an MP3 and downloadable.

1)I have an artist's MP3's and MP4's that we'd like to sell.
- Must be able to upload as Admin
- Must be able to stream both music and video

2)I have an artist's pictures that we'd like to sell.

I don't want to get rid of merchandise because we can use that as is. (Which is great by the way...)

Both Skus and Fulfillment Groups have a concept of a 'fulfillment type'. In this case I think you want to make sure that they are set to 'DIGITAL'. I would imagine that on checkout (as in, within the checkout workflow) you would have an activity that looks at any DIGITAL fulfillment groups and generates links or something to where the user can actually obtain the files.

You will need to do the fulfillment piece as well as the security for these files. You can upload files through the admin under 'Media Assets'.

Thanks for previous answer, I have 2 follow-up questions:

1st - The Media Types for a product - the first I could utilize as is because it would be a jpg of the Single cover.
Will the system differentiate between the Single cover media and the media which is the actual product?
(mp3 - single or mp4 - video)

If it does differentiate, how do I set that up?

2nd - If I wanted to have users actually play/view the media they're browsing, how would you set that up?
I was thinking that in content section for each type it would display a section for each single/video that would include the controls the media type needed for user to interact. (By the way if you know any good mp3/mp4 players - please share!)
