Broadleaf and cms integration

Its quite common to integrate a cms system with commerce frameworks. No product today provides a clean solution to this integration and it always a huge pain to make them work together.

It will be really fantastic to integrate a very basic cms module with the framework.

Om

Thanks - this is indeed a great news, is their any time line which you have in mind. I am in the process of building a eCommerce website and would like to take that into account in the design.

We're currently planning on making it available with the upcoming release. It's hard to give exact dates with our current schedule, but we're tentatively shooting for the September 2011 timeframe.

Is there a possibility to get the broadleaf ecommerce.zip development pack for the branch which has the cms module. It will be really helpful to kick start my project.

Hi sss,

we were doing a proof of concept on this, and if you use the rest api available you could build a webshop page in magnolia that could pull the products from broadleaf.

This was our scope, but maybe you need something different.

I know this is an old post but would be interested to know if anyone has managed to prove that concept. I am planning a project around this in 2015.

@jtarry we would love to discuss your requirements and maybe even talk about a proof of concept for your project. Shoot us an email at info AT broadleafcommerce.com.

We have been spending a lot of time enhancing the Broadleaf CMS and we have not recently invested in integrating into other 3rd-party CMSs.
