Maybe it exists (but I didn't see it in the demo store).

Be able to modify the front page (or any other part) with some business rules to promote some products.

It may be a kind of rule alias embedded in the page that triggers a query to retrieve the product(s) that should be displayed.
In the demo store, such a functionality will able a dynamic selection of the don't miss area and not the hard coded "/broadleafdemo/store/equipment/espresso?productId=180".

We currently support the concepts of up-sale and cross-sale products in the framework. These fields on the Product entity could be used to drive product recommendations on a site utilizing Broadleaf commerce, although this is not currently demonstrated on the demo site. We also have the concept of a featured product list in the Category entity. This list could be used to drive a featured product list on a site by category. This concept is demonstrated in the demo. Unfortunately, none of these concepts are currently driven by business rules in the framework, so they may not be as flexible as your needs require out-of-the-box.

We are planning in the future to include recommendation engine support that derives product recommendations based on configureable business rules and buying patterns.

Hi jefffischer,

any estimate on when this feature would be available? or if you are planning to include it in the next release at all?

Kind Regards,
Despot

Is product recommendation available in the latest version? If not, is there any steps documented to plugin any open source recommendation engine?

Venkat
