hi guys,
i have deployed admin 1.5-RC1 to tomcat using postgresql, i used the import_standard.sql from demo app and I can browse products, however none of them seems to have any media associated with it. it does insert them into db though...
also, how does the image upload mechanism work at the moment ?

If you haven't already, you should update to our 1.5.1 GA release (available in maven central). I don't know of any behavior that would prevent the media from displaying in the demo (I presume that you've altered the demo to work with Postgres).

Image upload is handled through the CMS module in the Broadleaf admin. Once an image asset has been promoted all the way up to production, it is available in the merchandising section to be used as a media asset for categories or products.

Even better, 1.5.2 addresses some domain compatibility issues with Postgres.
