Hi,

I have been going through the Broadleaf framework the last week, and I must say that you have done a really great job.
I have a question regarding the administration site. I can't seem to find any administration user interface for the orders in the 1.1.0 M2 . Have you deliberately left it out or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!

Christos

We haven't deliberately left out that feature. It's a feature we plan on implementing at some point.

I am currently evaluating Broadleaf and am extremely interested. Your team has done an excellent job, and I love the fact that you are using recent technologies. That doesn't seem to be a common de facto with java opensource ecommerce solutions. I am really looking forward to the migration from flex onto GWT.

With that, I was extremely surprised to see that there was no order management within the admin console. Nor did I see it on the road map as being slotted for an upcoming release. I am extremely interested in keeping all of my administration in one application, and would rather not develop a supplemental application for handling order management or invest the time in creating a module.

I see that this posting s fairly old, but I am curious as to its status? Is this something that will be implemented after the migration to GWT?

Yes, we are definitely planning on adding an order management piece to the admin program after the GWT migration. I am currently now in the process of writing the SmartGWT based application (I'm actually really excited about it - I think everyone is really going to like it). The reason it's not directly mentioned on the roadmap is because for version 1.5, we are planning on having the GWT application with the same features (and perhaps a few more) that were supported in the old admin so that nobody loses functionality through an upgrade. Then, in 2.0, were planning on releasing additional features. Unfortunately, those 2.0 features are still a little ambiguous, as we still need to have the discussion on prioritizing what those features will be. Order management has definitely been proposed as an admin feature candidate.

I would encourage you to add a feature request to our JIRA site for this to keep it on our radar. This is easy to do. Log in at http://www.broadleafcommerce.org/jira and click the "create issue" button in the upper right corner of the screen. Select the "Feature Request" type for your new issue.
