I want to start BroadLeaf community app in India

Hello Everyone

I am a java developer, working on java technology 2+ year. I read a blog about broadleaf. I want to use the community edition of broadleaf. I also drop an email to info@broadleafcommerce.org and got some positive reply from Brad Buhl. Brad gives me suggestion to more technical question to forum. Please help me to clear following doubt?

1. can we add new features such as Cash on delivery, Indian payment gateway, adding movies clip on product review page or other future upgrade to community edition. Is there not any problem when we add the new features to community edition.

2. I want to develop an application like

http://www.flipkart.com (Indian shoping site) please visit and conform me/

3. If I develop it using community edition, is it possible if i switch back to the enterprise edition

There is actually not really an "enterprise vs community" edition of Broadleaf; the framework itself is all open-sourced and is the same version we use for enterprise customers.

That being said, we do offer commercial modules which you can look at here: http://docs.broadleafcommerce.org/curre ... dules.html as well as support licenses: http://www.broadleafcommerce.com/support.

As far as the core framework though, there is no difference between community and enterprise.

Also, the framework is designed to be extensible specifically for the reasons that you specified (specify payment gateways, changing product detail pages, etc). We recommend following our getting started documentation (http://docs.broadleafcommerce.org/curre ... arted.html) and use that as your starting point. You can then make whatever customizations you like from there.
