About The Licenses

Hi,

I need to understand exactly what is the difference between Community Edition & Enterprise Edition. I worked in the past with another ecommerce platform, but it had a private license.

All I know is that Community Edition's license is Apache License 2.0, so could I change core, admin and submodule of these without any problems?

Obviously if I don't have Professional Support I won't have a 24h support or the customization that I like in a easy way.

What if I'd like to have a real site based on Broadleaf with Comunity Edition on production?

Thanks :)

There is absolutely no issue using the community edition of Broadleaf in production. Think of it like you would the Spring Framework. Broadleaf Commerce Community is Apache 2 licensed (same as Spring).

We do believe for medium to large companies our enterprise edition offers some compelling features and for anyone building a Broadleaf site, we'd love the opportunity to speak with your business owners about whether the enterprise edition or commercial support makes sense for your company.

Welcome to our forum and we look forward to you participating in the community.
