Broadleaf project structure in Eclipse

When I took the Sample project Workspace in My Eclipse,I got 3 other projects(Core, Admin and Site) and i can observe that same 3 projects (Core, Admin and Site) were inside the DemoSite Project also . I am unable to understand this Broadleaf project structure . Please Explain .

Modularization is the purpose. They all have separate pom's. Admin & Site both rely on core.
