Question regarding multi domain hosting

Hello,

Greetings to the Broadleaf community. :)

In my quest for a solid, Java based platform, I discovered Broadleaf and Shopizer. Both looked good, but I opted for the former (for now) based on good first impressions on support and documentation. But before proceeding with installation to evaluate, I have a couple of basic questions.

1) My web server will host several shopping sites (unique domains). Your front page states: "Multi-tenant, multi-site... a platform for your multi-everything needs." Am I correct in understanding this to mean that just the one Broadleaf server installation can serve multiple domains, with complete separation between administrators?

2) Some domains are built on Magnolia CMS. What is the typical approach when integrating Magnolia with Broadleaf? Embedding Broadleaf elements in Magnolia pages, or keeping a clean separation between Magnolia and Broadleaf pages?

Thank you in advance for any assistance on these matters.

Regards,

Chris.

Hey Chris, welcome!

Yes, but this assumes that you have the multi-tenant version of Broadleaf which is a yearly license cost. Reach out to info AT broadleafcommerce.com for more information on pricing.

2) Some domains are built on Magnolia CMS. What is the typical approach when integrating Magnolia with Broadleaf? Embedding Broadleaf elements in Magnolia pages, or keeping a clean separation between Magnolia and Broadleaf pages?

Integrations are highly dependent on what you are trying to accomplish and how you want things to look.
