Long Description fields length

Hi,

I am trying to figure out quickest way to change the long descriptions length. As per this http://jira.broadleafcommerce.org/browse/BLC-376, I will have to create a custom table. I also see a statement of 'Made the necessary framework change with a reasonable default for the length of the Lob columns'. Does this mean, current descriptions are already changed to lob and set to certain length?

I am currently using 1.6.2-SNAPSHOT. Is there a latest SNAPSHOPT/version I can use with more recent bug fixes?

If at all possible, we highly recommend that you use the 2.0 version of Broadleaf (latest snapshot is 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT; there are also periodical milestone releases, the latest of which is 2.0.0-M1-6). This has your referenced bug fix.

This also got backported to a 1.6.0 milestone release, but doesn't appear to have made it into 1.6.2. Is it possible for you to use 2.0?

Thank you Phillip for quick response. With all the features 2.0 providing, I can't wait to migrate to 2.0. I am close to launch date. So I want to first launch with 1.6 and then migrate to 2.0.

Please advise which version of 1.6 you recommend to use for time being? I was using 1.6.-SNAPSHOT to pick up fix for http://jira.broadleafcommerce.org/browse/BLC-605

Congrats on getting close to launch! I went ahead and backported this change to the Broadleaf-1.6.x branch, which is where the 1.6.2-SNAPSHOT version is building off of. Let me know if you have any more issues.

So, with the changes to 1.6.x code base, will I be able to pick up the changes from tonight's 1.6.2-SNAPSHOT build? I am currently pointing to http://www.broadleafcommerce.org/nexus/ ... es/public/.

Yes, as long as you're pointing to that Maven repo, you'll be able to pick up the version when it builds.
